In her role as Director of Programs for Duke Health and Well-Being (DHW), Marley Thrasher provides leadership and direction for professional and public program content across all DHW entities including Duke Integrative Medicine, the Duke Diet and Fitness Center, and the Duke Health and Fitness Center. She and her team establish new programs and refine and revise existing ones. Marley is also responsible for identifying and building programmatic collaborations and partnerships within DHW, DUHS, and the broader community.
Prior to her work with DHW, Marley spent almost two decades leading global program initiatives for public (NIH), private (AIG), not-for-profit (PRIM&R) and academic (Duke University and NC State University) organizations. Since 2009, Marley has focused her expertise on the healthcare and research fields and is experienced in the full range of learning and development practices, from needs analysis to evaluation and still enjoys facilitating learning via virtual and in-person environments. She also speaks at numerous national and international conferences on topics ranging from creating effective training programs and team building to research ethics and responsible conduct of research.
