Claudia M. Witt is Professor and Chair of the Institute for Complementary and Integrative Medicine at the University of Zurich and UniversityHospital Zurich. Furthermore she is part-time Professor at the Center for Integrative Medicine University of Maryland School of Medicine and holds a research position at the Institute for Social Medicine, Epidemiology and Health Economics at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. From May 2011 to April 2013 she served as the President of the International Society for Complementary Medicine Research (ISCMR). In 2011 she joint BMC CAM as Section Editor. Her research has made substantial contributions to the evidence on efficacy, effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and safety of complementary medicine. She is the chair of the ISCMR research methodology training group and provides research methodology training for complementary and integrative medicine on an international level.
